Five people were taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash in Salem Township, Ohio, on Sunday evening, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said.

The first call about the crash came into dispatchers at around 6 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. Route 22 and State Route 123, police said.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they transported all five people involved to hospital. One of those injured appears to have sustained serious injuries, while the conditions of the others were not immediately released.

According to the sheriff’s office, the crash happened after one of the vehicles failed to yield at the intersection. The collision involved three vehicles in total.

The crash remains under investigation by local authorities, who have not yet said whether any charges will be filed.

WLWT News 5 reporter Kurt Knue reported the story.
