One person is dead and four others are injured after a quintuple shooting outside a bar in North Philadelphia early Sunday morning.
Police responded to a bar on Lawrence Street in Philadelphia’s Fairhill neighborhood around 4 a.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
A neighbor says the shooting began with an altercation inside the establishment before spilling out onto the street. At least 60 shell casings were scattered throughout the crime scene several hours after the shooting.
Residents told FOX 29’s Ellen Kolodziej the bar is frequently crowded at all hours of the morning and has been a source of trouble in the past. One passing driver said he no longer wants to go outside in that area.
The identity of the deceased victim and the condition of the other victims have not been released. It is unclear whether any suspects are in custody or whether there is an active threat to the public, according to FOX 29.
