A 23-year-old man was shot and killed in Goldsboro, North Carolina, on Monday night, and police say no arrests have been made.
Officers were called around 10 p.m. on Oct. 19, 2026, after reports of gunfire at 3201 Central Heights Road. Responding officers found Daniel Perez-Benitez, 23, suffering from several gunshot wounds.
Perez-Benitez was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Goldsboro police are investigating the fatal shooting, and the case remains active. No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been announced, according to WITN, which reported the story on Oct. 20, 2026.
