A 49-year-old woman has died after a crash involving her car and a semi-truck in Blount County, Tennessee, the Tennessee Highway Patrol has said.

The crash happened at about 10:54 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, on US-321 near Friendsville, according to a highway patrol report cited by WVLT.

The report said Toni D. Densmore was driving a Subaru Outback and was trying to turn left onto Endsley Quarry Lane to travel north when her car moved into the path of a southbound Kenworth truck driven by Kevin Hankins. The two vehicles collided.

Densmore was pronounced dead as a result of the crash, the report said. Both vehicles came to an uncontrolled rest in the median.

The report said both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. There were no passengers in either vehicle.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol filed the report on the crash, WVLT said.
