A 76-year-old Georgia woman is facing seven criminal charges after her ex-husband and his girlfriend were shot dead inside a trailer home in Toombs County, the New York Post reports.

Grace Edge was taken into custody after the shooting on Monday afternoon at a home on McNatt Falls Road in Uvalda. Police say she entered the trailer and fired her gun five times.

Wallace Truman Edge, 75, and Pamela Cook, 40, were each hit and pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. Cook’s 55-year-old mother, Diane Cook, was also shot in the arm but survived.

Diane Cook was inside the home when the shooting began and managed to call 911 before she was wounded. She told the dispatcher that Edge walked in and started shooting without any argument beforehand, according to the report.

Toombs County Sheriff Jordan Kight said Edge drove straight to the sheriff’s office after the shooting and turned herself in. She is being held at the Toombs County Detention Center while she awaits her first court appearance.

She has been charged with two counts of malice murder, two counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault.

Investigators believe the motive was linked to Edge’s former marriage. The Edges had been divorced for more than a decade but kept an on-and-off relationship until Wallace Edge began dating Cook, and the sheriff said Grace Edge had not accepted the new relationship.

Kight added that deputies had been called to the couple’s home dozens of times over the years for alleged domestic disputes, though no arrests had been made before Monday’s shooting.

The investigation is continuing.
