Morgan Gamble, a 21-year-old student at Clark Atlanta University, was killed Tuesday night in a crash near Hank Aaron Drive and Glenn Street in Atlanta, Georgia. The crash happened on October 13.

The driver, Nikolai Dunford, was allegedly driving 94 mph in a 30 mph zone when the crash occurred.

Dunford has been arrested and charged with speeding, reckless driving, and homicide by vehicle in the first degree. He appeared in court on Thursday.

Residents of the Summerhill neighborhood are pressing Atlanta city officials for a safer crossing at the location. They are demanding speed bumps and a traffic light where the crash took place.

City Council member Jason Winston, who represents District 1, said he will review safety measures with the mayor’s administration.
